In Vino Veritas 2020
Cultivating vineyards on the slopes of Minervois, the Danglas family produces great wines that are full-bodied, rich, and with silky tannins. The In Vino Veritas 2020 is a vibrant blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre. The wine is round and balanced, with beautiful persistence and a fruity, spicy finish.

Tasting note in the Guide Hachette des Vins: Before finding the truth in the wine, it had to be sought in the vines. The Danglas family found it in the lands of Paraza and on this family estate, which Annick has been managing with her two sons since 2005. With this 2010 vintage, they offer a subtle and complex Minervois, rich in fruits (blackberry, cherry), with spicy and licorice notes. The palate is ample yet soft, vinous, and structured, while remaining smooth and elegant. A harmonious wine that pairs beautifully with both traditional cuisine and modern culinary inspirations.
The winemaker’s corner
Vines from the Puy and Piquières parcels.
Tertiary period calcareous palustrine soils.
Angled stones and siliceous pebbles from the Montagne Noire.
Over 40-year-old hillside vines facing south.
The grapes are harvested in slight over-ripeness, with Syrah picked at the beginning of October and Grenache in mid-October, provided the weather conditions allow. For this reason, the In Vino Veritas cuvée is not produced every year but only when nature gives us the opportunity to harvest grapes of ultimate concentration. The first cold pre-fermentation maceration extracts as much aroma as possible, followed by a second maceration after alcoholic fermentation to amplify the first extraction.
Aging potential: 5 – 15 years.
