Été indien
Été indien is slightly orange, a surprising white wine, gourmand, dry, with a beautiful breadth and freshness, and a gently bitter finish.
Été Indien is a white maceration wine, commonly known as an orange wine. This natural winemaking method dates back to antiquity and is making a comeback. Thanks to its aromatic richness, Gewürztraminer is perfectly suited to this type of vinification, which gives it a beautiful structure, along with a stunning orange hue.

The 2021 vintage was harvested on August 20th, at full ripeness. They grapes are first destemmed, then crushed and placed in a vat with their skins and seeds. And the skin contact maceration lasts for 10 days at a temperature of 20°C. A gentle extraction takes place before pressing. The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation and is left to rest for several weeks. Pre-bottling filtration follows.
WHITE MACERATION WINE
Cellaring potential: 3 to 5 years. An interesting feature of orange wine is that it ages very pleasantly; its texture becomes even more enveloping, and its aromas grow more complex over time.
What those who have tasted it think 🤔
Neither white, nor rosé, nor red… wine can be orange (and delicious!)
